Don't Be Defeated
When troubles are crashing down upon you
and you are feeling very weak
My prayer for you
is His face you will seek
You’re tempted to be defeated
and to think all is lost
I pray you’ll have the joy of your salvation
as you remember what it cost
God doesn’t want you to give up
He doesn’t want you to give in
Even though things look dismal
Keep in mind that we win!
God gives you all you need:
“the mystery of Christ in You”
just drink in the Word of God
and tell yourself what is true!
Then you’ll remember how big God is
and how much He cares
He is good and powerful and abounding in love
and He hears your every prayer!
