O Lord, Here I am
totally dependent on You
I lean on Your great love
and that Your promises are true
I am a simple woman
who cannot offer you a thing
Because I don't deserve Your mercy
Your praises I will sing!
I am helpless to love You
as I know I should
I don't know how to praise You
as I wish I could
My deeds are filthy rags
I am unfaithful to You
I doubt, I complain
and I don't spend enough time with You
But like the moon that shines each night
although I forget it's there
no matter what I do or how I fail
You never cease to care
You are faithful to me
You've sealed me for the Day
Your Word speaks to my spirit
I listen for what You will say
Your mercies are new every morning
You forgive me lovingly
When I've been tested and I'm weary
You restore and set me free
Your hand is always on me
guiding me in the Way
Your Spirit lives within me
You hear me when I pray
Praise be to you
The Faithful Holy One
You keep what I've entrusted to You
On the cross, it was done!
