My Prince
Of all the stories of romance
that I see in movies and on TV,
the ones that stir my heart
have a Prince looking for his Princess-to-Be
He is the one who makes the choice
He searches through the town
to find a woman he can love
a bride to share his crown
There will be a royal wedding
all are dressed in fine clothes,
but all she sees is her Prince...
the finest man she knows
The love that is shown
in the romantic movie
is only a shadow
of what will really be
Who can fill my heart?
and meet my every need?
no “person” can be perfect
only the Prince of Peace
Right now, the King of Kings,
the Prince of Peace, My Lord
is choosing his bride, the Church
to live with Him forevermore
There will be a Marriage Supper of the Lamb
the Bible tells the story
and mansions and fine linen clothes
all for His praise and Glory!
Someday my Prince will come
and make my life complete
He’ll wipe away my every tear
He’ll sweep me off my feet
And I, his bride, will adore Him
worship him and give him praise
I’ll sing of his beauty and his grace
and of his goodness all of my days!
