Q: "How can I become a child of God?"

A: Make a clear-cut decision and say "Yes, Lord Jesus, come into my life."

Q: "Is it as simple as that?"

A: It is. Salvation is a free gift. You need only accept it and you belong to God, and He in you. All that had to be done was finished by Jesus on the cross.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him..... Revelation 3:20

Thank you Lord, that I may open the door of my heart. What a joy that You may come in!

Q: "Does going to church regularly make one a Christian?"

A: No, you find there the nourishment you need and the fellowship with other Christians, but it is not where you are that is important but what happens in your heart.

If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Lord, thank You that I am a Christian because You died on the cross almost two thousand years ago and You could say, "It is finished." All that needed to be done was done by You. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

Conversion is not a blind leap into the darkness. It is a joyous leap into the light that is the love of God.

I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12

The human side in us fears the unknown, Lord. Give us the faith we need to step out of our dim caves and into your guiding light.

Q: "What happens after I say yes to the Lord?"

A: Then you may claim all of God's promises in the Bible. Your sins, your worries, your life -- you may cast them all on Him.

I come that they might have life, and they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
